Marist annually organizes a cultural celebration of the African diaspora known as Mon Afrique, which includes special performances such as African dancing and drumming, as well as a fashion show. I spearheaded the marketing strategy for Mon Afrique while working closely with the organizers, particularly the Social Media committee, to produce print materials and create a social media teaser for their April 2023 event.

Using my knowledge of studio lighting and photography, I conducted a photoshoot with a few international student models who will showcase their traditional African clothing in the fashion show. When designing the layouts and creating the logo, I drew inspiration from customized titles and thumbnail artworks of shows and movies on Netflix. My favorite part of this project was creating the digital billboard ads that were displayed on screens throughout campus plus the 7-day countdown content on the Mon Afrique Instagram page.
